There's many ways that a friendship could be disfunctional. A lot of people put up with their friends because they feel helpless, are use to being treated badly or worse, don't even realize that they're being treated badly. But these are my top 3 behaviors that cannot be accepted by anyone, no matter how close you are to them.
1.) Jealousy
A friendship should never include jealousy. You should be proud of your friends achievements , goals, endeavors and vice versa. The base of a friendship is the support you have for one another. You guys should be able to support and be happy for one another and if jealousy is brewing on either side, it's impossible to be in a healthy, loving friendship. Remeber if your friend wins , you win too.
2.) Lying
Lying is something that shouldn't be tolerated in any type of relationship. It's kind of self-explanatory. LYING JUST SUCKS!
3.) No effort
If your friend doesn't call you, invite you to a movie here or there, or just plain see you ocassionally and you feel like your always are taking the initiative to contact them or speak to them, then they just plain suck. You shouldn't have to feel like your hounding someone down and forcing them to be your friend. If they don't feel the need to get in contact with you or hang out with you once in a while, then they were never your friend in the first place.
So there you have it, these are my top 3 destructive behaviors that aren't positive when trying to build lasting and valuable friendships.
